It's raining seed pods in Hampton

It's raining seed pods in Hampton
Tiny sails with a genetic payload
They fly to do battle with entropy
Their roots will grasp chaos
Their branches will thrust upwards
And a new fleet will be born to continue the battle

I'm just a random browser coming from the Hopelink chain, but I just wanted to say that I love this poem. Is it original? I couldn't find any source via a Google search. Do you mind if I quote it (not in any kind of publication of course, just for my own enjoyment)?

Thanks, yes it's original and you may quote it. I wrote it when I was moving out of my apartment and seed pods were flying everywhere.
